This morning I received an e-mail message from Barton Kersteter, (lebooge, Beej, BJ, Bart, I am never sure what to actually call him these days). I haven’t really heard from BJ in about a year when he was discussing Seven Years War Projects. I miss gaming with BJ and hope he stays out in public more often.
Well this time the message was on Napoleonics with a reminder that he still has his 15mm Russian Army that he’d like to push. I invited him to come down to the Levee Café on Nov 22, bring his troops and help either Blucher or Schwarzenberg when the battle.

Not lost, just bored. Time & cash constraints are such that if I'm going to get into gaming again, it needs to be in a focused manner. The buckshot approach to minis (lots of periods, nothing complete in any of them) just doesn't work for me anymore, and I'm not a painting machine like you are.
I still have dreams of doing WWII and Napoleonic gaming, but reality bites some times. Right now my hobby money is non-existent, as family needs take precedent. I have a few figs I'm working on, but not seriously... maybe more this winter. We'll have to see.
Right now I work best on plenty of advance warning, and gaming once or twice a quarter is about the right amount of time for me. I hope to make the late November game... it sounds like fun.
Now, since this is a Twin Cities-related historical miniatures blog, let's get this thing started the right way:
You're on crack, your rules suck, and you know NOTHING about how Napoleonic combat really worked. I, on the other hand, have read this book...
